In March of 2020, as the pandemic erupted on the global stage, Kim Hasenkrug notorious NIH researcher and immunologist at the NIH's Rocky Mountain Lab in Montana (whom Judicial Watch has documented as buying aborted baby organs from Advanced Bioscience Resources) demanded that the Trump Administration lift its ban on fetal research so he could replicate Ralph Baric's precision LungOnly mice models to test COVID vaccines. As reported in a March 19, 2020, Science article:
Hasenkrug recently proposed using mice with humanlike lungs created using human fetal tissue by University of North Carolina (UNC), Chapel Hill, researchers and reported last fall in Nature Biotechnology . . . The UNC researchers found that the new mice, unlike normal mice, could be infected with Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus, a human-sickening coronavirus from the larger virus family of which SARS-CoV-2 is a member. That made the new mice promising vehicles for testing potential therapies for COVID-19, the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2.

Judicial Watch has detailed records showing that Hasenkrug at the NIH lab in Hamilton, Montana, made at least 26 purchases of livers and thymuses from second trimester aborted fetuses from ABR.
A few months later, despite the much-publicized Trump Administration ban on federal funding for fetal research, the money was again flowing. In August, 2020, the NIH made an exception to the ban and granted $1.2 million to the University of California to begin creating a cadre of humanized mice "susceptible to COVID-19 virus" to distribute to COVID researchers.

The humanized mice are described as having the precise qualities sought for in the 2019 Ralph Baric precision mice model scientific study: mice that are susceptible to the COVID-19 virus and that can be used to reproduce human COVID-19 disease.
The objective of the 2019 precision mice study as stated in the Abstract:
Lung-only mice and bone marrow/liver/thymus-lung humanized mice substantially increase the number of human pathogens that can be studied in vivo, facilitating the in vivo testing of therapeutics.
In other words, it would seem that the stockpile of humanized mice being engineered at taxpayer cost at the University of California-Devis are the LungOnly and BLT-L mice that require aborted baby organs to construct and are to be given to COVID researchers to test the vaccine.
